Back when China Mieville's The City and the City came out, bookelfe posted a review of it, and suggested to me that it was very much my kind of book. Conveniently, this happened shortly before my birthday, and so it was the book I ended up buying with my birthday money.

I AM SO GLAD YOU LIKED IT. Not surprised, but glad. :D This is a gorgeous review, too.

And okay, so now I can tell you that it reminds me of The Homeward Bounders more than anything else. The ending!
