The Lies of Locke Lamora by Scott Lynch = EPIC FAIL
I couldn't finish the book for this reason -- in nearly 200 pages, there are barely no women. Even in the background. In fact, there are two. One of which dies dramatically and the other who is someone's wife. It is embarrassing and very, very bizarre, considering the fact that this is an ensemble cast!
A Song of Ice and Fire by George R.R. Martin passes. Lots of political shenanigans going on plus there is the relationship between sisters Arya & Sansa.
