But let's face it, what gets to you more than a good death scene? I was thinking about death scenes a while ago, and came up with my personal top five from novels, which I am now finally posting even though I should be getting to bed soonish.

Karakael. Okay, so this isn't tecnically just 'his' death. 'Tecnically' Ellorin is the one that gets the description, and his sacrifice isn't what makes it amazing, its what happens after. STILL.
Kestril, from the Wind on Fire trillogy. Dancing to her death for all the people she loved, and sacrificing herself for her brother.
The girl from the Awakeners. I honistly can't remember her name, because her death affected me to such an extent that I never wanted to re-read the books. Yay for being burned alive for ones (flawed I might add) ideals.
...Wow. I'm sencing a pattern here. Huh. Seemingly well done Buddhist suicides really affect me.

Aaanyway, I never read it. And I have to say that even if I had, it probably wouldn't make the list. I don't connect to almost any dog characters. :/ Dogs and I have issues.
