This chapter was beautiful! You really described their emotions so well. I love the way you can portray Jeff's emotions with him sayling almost nothing. My heart broke for both Jeff and Annie in this chapter, but I was actually kind of giddy when I finished the chapter because big things are going to start happening, and I can't wait to see how you resolve everything.
I've kind of slacked on reviewing this story, but I just want you to know that I have LOVED every part of this. This is one of the best Jeff/Annie stories I have ever read!
You assume that things are going to start happening? I could just choose to never resolve anything. Actually- true story here: My computer has been giving me a lot of problems and there were a couple days where I thought it was dead with no chance of recovery. This was going to be the last chapter of the fic if that happened. I was pulling my hair out because of it.
Thank you so much for reading! I really appreciate it.
You never disappoint with the semi-dirtiness, which I greatly appreciate.
Glad to hear it! I do try to make it good for you. Hee.
Seriously, though, it's the least I can do for this amazing piece of work you've given us. I hope I can continue to satisfy you. ahahaha
Having said that, you seem to read more closely than everyone else and I'm catering to you ;)
Awww, I feel so special! Questions. Hmm. I am curious about Jeff and Britta's conversation in the hallway outside Pierce's room. It sounded like they discussed more than just Jeff's desire to smother Pierce.
And I'd love to know what advice Pierce gave Jeff. It might have been completely serious, but I can't help but wonder if Pierce offered his own experiences as examples. Ahahaha.
But other than, after reading your latest chapter, I'm feeling pretty satisfied at the moment. This has been such a pleasure to read, a wonderful way to spend the hiatus. It really did fill that Community sized hole. And we've still got too more chapters! I can't wait! :-)
WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU! WHY ARE YOU STILL TORTURING US WITH ALL OF THIS FANTASTICALLY WRITTEN MELONCHOLY AND ANGST!? I ... I DON'T ...CARED FOR YO...THE SOUL TRAIN AWARDS WERE TONIGHT!!! YOU PROMISED BUTT STUFF!!!!!
....
How was that? I know you don't like it when I'm nice.
Okay, I need to breathe because holy hell, this chapter was intense especially this part :
“It wasn’t part of my plan to fall for …an insecure thirty-five year-old who faked his degree and seems to disdain all of us half the time.“ Jeff winced at her words but didn’t stop her. Annie could feel everything pushing up into her throat, everything she‘d wanted to say to him for the last two days. All of the emotion she‘d been trying so hard to avoid, knowing what the end result would be. “And I probably do deserve…” She let out a sigh. “…better than that.” His arms crossed over his chest defensively and gave a nod that Annie felt in her toes. Was he upset? #MYEMOTIONS
