Oh boy yes, LJ has been screwing up left and right. There was a mass of support tickets last night about it. You can read over them and you might find an answer. But basically, their "css cleaner" ::rolls eyes:: is more strict. (For example, I can't use the @import rule to link to another stylesheet, but wonder of wonders, I can still use the link rel="... to link to an external one. Can we say no sense?)
I don't know if they've fixed their own styles yet, but things to watch out for: Make sure the css is valid. I believe w3 has a validator to check. I don't know if they fixed it yet, but the cleaner got over ambitious and started stripping the ID attribute from html code. Also stripped the type="text/css" from the style tag. Again, don't know if they fixed it.
I had to fix mine last night by changing to the link rel, and changing all my ids to classes. Don't know if any of this helps you, but if you need a hand, let me know and I'll see what I can do.
Mine got jacked last night, but I know they fixed it in my case. So, I'm not sure what all they got fixed or not... I'm just a bit annoyed at it all. :/

I couldn't log into my LJ until last night. Which as captivating O_o
My layout's doing crazy shit now. My background picture's gone, and for some reason the background is bright white, the scroll bars are gone and my links are blue instead of grey -_-;;
