GOD SOBBING SO MUCH RIGHT NOW!!!

I'm just a sobbing mess right now. So glad that Gwen is pregnant. That she has a piece of Arthur with her.

Arthur looking after Alena was adorable. You did a good job writing a typical 2 year old. The image of Arthur playing horsie with Elena had me giggling and nawwing.

And then Percival giving Gwen the news of Arthur's death (though she felt it beforehand), had me wanting to hug Gwen. It's sad that we didn't get to see that in the episode. Though, if we did I imagine I (and many others) would have sobbed more that we were. It would have been worse then when Elyan died.

This whole series was brilliant. I loved it. I think you should write an AU series with a better ending for series 5 though!

Yeah, I cried while writing it, but that's just because it's still a little hard to take Arthur's death.

I'm glad you enjoyed the Alena scene. It touched my heart to write because it would have been sweet to see Arthur in that aspect.

I do think it would have been better if we got to see Gwen get the news of Arthur's death, something, so she could have a private reaction. That would have been nice I think.

lol...AU series...any ideas? Not sure where it would start from.

Agreed, but then remember the final episode was all about the boys and their 'love' story.

Well the AU series could be set during the time between series 4 and 5 and then beyond changing what they did in series 5. What annoyed me the most was that they skipped 3 years and I really wanted to see Gwen adjust to be Queen because I don't think that journey would have been easy for her. Also, it annoys me that they never really showed Arthur's opinion changing towards magic or him trying to unite the kingdoms. I would have liked to have seen more Annis, Rodor and Mithan, as well as Arthur fixing things with Odin. It just would have been nice for some of the story lines of the past to be re-visited like the truth behind Arthur's birth (maybe like I spoke to you when I was talking about A New Era) and for Arthur to come to terms of the reasons behind his father banning of magic.

So sad. But at least the future is bright. I felt so bad for Merlin too, poor guy.

But this was a beautiful piece and I look forward to what you do next.

In sobbing like the clip of Kristen Bell on Ellen sobbing. It's ugly cry.... Thank you so much for sharing these Mara. I think you made season 5 actually better. As far as I'm concerned this is all canon. :-)

I cried while writing it too because Arthur's death itself on the show was hard to watch...harder to write at times. It's almost like this one in a way ended with the first part because that's where he dies.

Ah...sigh.
