OMG Mara! ILU<3333!

This was just excellent! I just love the depth you have given Arthur and how the decision he has made has affected him. I love how complicated Arthur was feeling too because it was a complicated situation.

I was happy that Arthur asked Gaius to check on Gwen and to give her suggestions of where she could go. It shows that while he has had his heart broken, he still cares for Gwen.

The flashback of A/G was excellent! Also I loved the flash back of Gwen's mother and A/G has babies ♥! Because well I love babies and you depicted A/G as babies so well.

I can't wait for the next installment!

Yay! I have loved writing this, even the final edits I'm still working on. It was just a nice release for anything I thought could have been expanded upon and just having fun.

You know I love Arthur and I think Bradley conveyed so much in his acting silently and even in the dia. logue. i just think so much was going on underneath and it takes fanfiction to show that really. I wish the show took the time to do the aftermath of the banishment as much as they took the time to lead up to it. But I guess that's where fanfic can come in. Really, it's a release to write this.

Ah, the flashbacks were fun and then by the time I completed the whole story, I realized parts of them contributed to the story which is so cool for me when it comes together that way.

Hee, I was thinking of you while writing the baby scene Millie! I had to make sure it would be good, lol! Oh gosh, and Gwen's mom, I loved putting her in. I am so interested in all that background story now.

Thanks, I'll try to get it up soon!

I totally agree on that. A lot of people were upset that Arthur didn't seem to care about Gwen and her safety but I think he does. Well in my mind he does, but like you said that didn't wasn't really shown.

Naww this makes me happy!

I think for me personally I saw so much from Arthur underneath the surface. It was awful watching him banish Gwen, but there was a lot going on there and I don't think he was totally unfeeling about it. That's what I tried to write, the feelings I felt from the episodes really. Tiny scenes, but filled with a lot of emotion.

Now I think the show blundered in creating such a strong episode for the breakup and yet doing the makeup in and episode that was already jam packed. I preferred the scene from 4.12 more than the second proposal in 4.13 actually. But what it comes down for me is those small strong scenes from 4.12 etc are just really inspiring.

Yep, the baby scene is dedicated to you as the upcoming fire scenes are for Piper, lol!

This is an awesome start.

I love the insight into Arthur's POV, the conflict, the pain. Sigh. It's beautiful, yet hearbreaking.

Also, I'm thoroughly enjoying Gauis' role in this as well. The flashback to Arthur and Gwen as babies was so touching.

I'm very excited about the next update!

Thank you for exploring what was sadly missing from episodes on the show.

Oh, Arthur, I came into this show loving it, but Arthur was my favorite. And he still often is even though I love Gwen and Merlin so much. So I'm glad his character came across in a way that shows who he is within. I think Bradley conveys that very well with what he's given. Arthur's not perfect, but there is so much to him that makes me love watching him take ap sometimes very painful, but also very interesting route to the great king he's future destined to be. The show makes blunders definitely, but I love getting to see the humanity of these characters from legend.

Thank you so much for commenting. I have really enjoyed your insight regarding the show on C_L. I don't get to post as much as I'd like, but I've enjoyed much of what you've posted there because even though we all criticize the show one time or another I see a lot of balance in your comments. And I appreciate that.

It's difficult sometimes but I try to view the show through the eyes of the characters and the time period in which it takes place. This goes a long way in helping me understand the character's choices and continuing my enjoyment of show.

Anyway, thank you for your generous comments about my posts at C_L. I'm glad you enjoyed what I had to say.

LOVED the flashbacks. Aww, baby Gwen knew how to help Arthur, even back then. That was adorable.

You can feel Arthur's pain. I would have very much enjoyed seeing something like this on the show, but like you said in another comment that's what fan fiction is for. But still.

Can't wait for the next installment. :)

I had so much fun writing the baby scene. It made me emotional even so it makes me happy to see the pro comments for it.

I know. I wish we could see more of Arthur and everyone's emotions really. But I think Bradley has done a very good job this year with what he's gotten. I feel the conflict and I feel what matters most to Arthur in those scenes. I honestly wrote this based on the emotions 4.09 so strongly displayed and then what we got from 4.11 and 4.12 especially. Even with little scenes the emotion was strong. And when they're smaller scenes like that it just inspires me so much to see how much further it can all be taken.

Thanks so much!

Yay, a new reader!

Ah, there will be more flashbacks definitely. Yeah, that episode inspired a lot of us to write something.

Thank you so much. Your feedback is very kind and appreciated!

I was very sleepy when I read this so I couldn't comment, but this is good.I really just love all the fic that is popping up around the banishment. Every writer makes a different choice about who would go to Gwen before she leaves and who should approach her.

I would have never thought to send Gaius, but it works especially with the flashback where are and Gwen are babies. I hope we get more of that with Arthur and Gwen being looked after together by Gwen's mother.

lol, I think I was sleepy when I read your reply. First week back to work and a good, but tiring one.

Yeah, for an episode making quite a few people upset, it was very interesting to me how it also inspired so many to write. Very cool! And from so many different persepectives and angles. Like you and others focused more on the banishment, really detailing it nicely. And I think this is more the before, and after.

I picked Gaius because of that episode where Agravaine tried to get rid of him. I got such a connection with him and Arthur in that one and what I love about Gaius now is his ties to the past.

I don't know if there will be more AG baby scenes, not written now, though there are references. But another fic I'm writing, and will post when it's done, a prequel auction request fic, will have that kind of scene.

Thanks!
