Ah, thanks Piper. I've had a similar loss to Arthur's and Guinevere's in this story so this one's a bit personal.

I love when you quote lines because often it's one I shakily put in. And that one I almost got rid of. I'm glad it worked.

Thanks so much for your kind words. :)

Gah that was so heartbreakeningly beautiful and poignant! I just love reading this after reading Bradley's interview where he just likes to make Arthur as a alpha male with no deep emotions when it comes to A/G. I just loved how he just came undone and let all his emotions about not having a mother out. It's great that Gwen was able to be there for him and I just loved how he did the same for Gwen too.

Okay, I need to see Bradley's interview first of all.

Secondly, thanks so much. Like I told Piper this one's kind of personal for me, had a similar loss some years back.

Honestly I modeled this, possibly on my own emotions about loss, but honestly mostly on how Bradley acted in that ep. He showed so much of Arthur's pain and frustration and that's what I thought of when I wrote this. I love the show, but I think this was a missing interaction I would have loved to see. They each have such similar losses. To have had them comfort each other in some small way, would have been nice.

Thanks again!

You think we'll get it in season 4 or is it going to be pretty much the same? I want an ep strongly dedicated to them. The one ep I think that totally fulfilled that was The Once and Future Queen. I don't even think season three did it as well. It was more about Morgana's evil smirk!!

This is really lovely. I've always hated how the show never allowed Gwen to be there when Arthur was dealing with the loss of his mother, because REALLY, who knows better? Morgana is another possibility, but by this time in the series... Same goes with wanting Arthur to address what happened to her father, because if he feels so much distress over his mother.... Anyway, this was a great coda to the episode.

Yeah, that was one of my favorite eps. Bradley really brought out the emotion, but the one thing I wanted more of was, Angel. It was missing the Arthur/Gwen scene dealing with their similar circumstances.

It's interesting because Witchfinder was right before this ep and that's the one where she reminds him that he didn't do anything for her father. It would have been perfect to have him realize that more deeply in the ep Sins of the Father and acknowledge it. Ah, missed potential in my opinion, but oh well.

Thanks so much for your feedback. It means a lot.
