oh man, i've spent far too much time today wading through the steps of creating one's own website and i've concluded it's just not worth it/ i am not capable of this. it involves creating a domain and finding a host, learning all types of html and css coding and speaking this crazy different language which makes my head spin in circles. blah. sad face.

this is a good starting-out resource. many webhosts now include an automatic MT setup, if you shop around.

erm, it seems to me creating my own blog is near impossible. from what i've read i have much to learn before i can even broach the subject. i decided to just stick with blogger and mess with their html to figure some stuff out, but it seems even that is over my head. boo. i understand how you can change the way text and spacing look with html and css, but how do i know which text and spacing is which? how can i add a photo or illustration to the design?
i'm sure there are a million web resources for undereducated shmoes like me, but i am somewhat terrified of them at this point. any advice?
