And the manager comes out from the dugout!

OK, so I'm at the plate, and I swing at strike three (sure, it's really strike four, but then the baseball analogy crumbles, so bear with me). I then proceed to walk back to the dugout, sad that I let the team down swinging at three bad pitches. They all looked good, but they darted away. I'm a sucker for breaking ball. Poor, stupid, couldn't-read-a-woman-if-she-were-bound-and-mass-produced Elric.
She called while I was at the gym, and left two very long, and very apologetic messages. I called, but then her manager called, and she needed to take it. So she's calling back tonight or tomorrow.
Hand to God, I thought this was #4. I haven't had a second date in so long, I just assumed...
Or maybe you mean "poor elric" because I never buy into the Mets and their "promise?" :) (Hell, you live with a damn-Steelers fan, so who knows what baseball team your household chooses to support.)

Sox rule!
How happy was he when they Sox re-signed Papi and Coco?
(But still, the Steelers? Damn. But I'm sure he has nice qualities, too.)
The Indians are loveable losers, but I like what they've done these last two years. Maybe they make the postseason this year. Maybe in two they have a legitimate shot. But I like that Travis Haffner bloke. He's gonna put a big hurt on the ball. But then, it will be sad when his contract is up and he goes to Boston. (My friend who is an Indians fan likes to call them the Boston farm team.)

We spoke last night, for a while. She's calling me back today. If she doesn't have to work, we will try to meet for dinner. If she does (as a volunteer, she gets no set schedule, and fills in for others), then it will have to be next week.
The sad thing is, she goes back to York soon, and I've hardly had the chance to talk to her, much less see her.
Sigh.
