Sarah walks up to the second building, rubbing her arm nervously. It wasn't like she could avoid this forever, or pretend it hadn't happened...that's what caused this stupid thing in the first place. But she just didn't know what she could say...

With a sigh, she hits the buzzer for Ed's apartment.

Oh look, it's Al answering the door. An Al that's completely unsurprised at who's on the other side. Partly because Sarah is the only one who ever visits them except for one or two times Ed's brought back a Faye, and the time a Winry stopped off, and partly because his sense of smell told him who it was.

"Hi. I'm guessing you're here for Brother again. He isn't home yet, by the way. Should be soon though. Anywhere from a few minutes to half an hour." He starts the now-familiar routine of leading the way back to the apartment.

"Ah...okay." She follows along quietly, still rubbing her arm. "...got LOLed again?"

[dantespet]

"Yeah. This time by a kitten."

Al looks back. "Any particular reason you're rubbing your arm?"

He pushes the apartment door open, not having bothered to close it properly for the short trip.

Sarah chuckles. "Just couldn't resist petting it?"

"Ah--" She instantly drops her arm to her side. "No. Just, uh...nervous habit." She hurries inside, pulling off her shoes.

[haganenomore]

Ed looks up startled and smelling blood. "Al, what..?"

[dantespet]

"I'm fine. Just wasn't paying attention to what I was doing and got myself with a knife. Just need to run water over it, finish my food and go hide in my room with a book since you guys don't need me in here listening to you two."

Sarah settles back into the chair--she's started forward at Al's exclamations. She fidgets a little, staring at her hands. It takes her a moment to reply to Ed's question. "I...I'm not really sure. I mean, I care about you a lot as a friend, but...not so much like that, anymore. Maybe...a little of both?"

[haganenomore]

"...Oh." Ed shrinks in on himself a bit.

[canon_is_god]

...kerblink. "What?"

[haganenomore]

Ed shakes his head. "Never mind. I don't think you realized what you managed to imply was happening."

"Bwah?" Aww, she's just so clueless and naive~

[haganenomore]

Ed shifts uncomfortably. "Well, based on your reactions to when I get upset and what happened the one time I met him... You just got me wondering what he does, that's all."
