Loved the first one. Stopped at just the right spot. Liked the other two s well, but that first one rocked my angst-o-meter.

I love all of these, but #3 is my favorite.

He gets up, sees Dean hunched by the door of the guest bedroom, the too-big rifle resting across his knees. The barrel gleams in the half-light, and there are bruise-dark circles under Dean’s eyes.

Thanks. Pastor Jim, I want a spin off series with you and John and the boys when they were little. Except we woudn't get JA and JP, and that would be terrible.
