"Stand By Me" was one of the best episodes of Grey's Anatomy I have seen in a very, very long time since the first few seasons. Especially the throwback to several old friendships and relationships through the episode. It was very, very nice. And it moved me to want to cry with the main patient story about the orchids ( Read more... )

Ooo...I miss good Grey's Anatomy (seasons 1 & 2 before they had George and Izzy get together to mess up George's last minute marriage). There have been a few glimmers of hope but nothing that made me want to watch again...though this entry made me want to check it out again.

Was this the latest episode?

Yes, it was! I'm not sure if it would be nearly as awesome without the context of the last episodes, because it has a lot of plot threads from previous arcs in it, but it's an amazing episode. I think I've watched it three times since yesterday when I downloaded it! :D

Oh, I loved that episode, too. But I didn't want to cry until everyone was helping Izzie into her hospital gown -- so, so sad. :(

I know, riiiight? That part was so sad. And Alex kept acting with his eyes during the whole last thing - complete with a tiny, barely there swallow that just did me in with sadness for all of them. D:
