Miscellaneous Writing Stuff

I am in the home straight as far as the War of 1812 novel goes. My hero is on his way to Lundy's Lane, and the book ends with the battle itself and the aftermath. My deadline for a first draft is June 1st so all is looking good. I've found this hard going because the need for historical accuracy is so stringent. I thank you for that.

The book concerned could take place pretty much anywhere in either southern Canada or the north-east of the United States. It would be a very simple matter to change the specific place names I have used to more generic ones.
