Found a place??

That  was waaaay too easy.

Okay, I'm a pretty picky person when it comes to the things I do, and the choices I make for myself. I've been checking craigslist like crazy since....way before I even moved into Alex and Konrad's place in which I currently reside. During these many months of checking, I've responded to under 5 postings, and had no one ( Read more... )

would it be possible to keep your cat in your room? You should at least do that in the beginning so that it can get used to its new environment and the other cat's smells.

Honestly, just make sure to research introducing two cats (if you haven't already). Mike and I were stupid the first time we introduced our cats (we pretty much just let them run around in the same room) and I think it really strained the relationship that they have now. When we actually stopped being idiots and looked up what to do, we kept them in separate rooms and slowly got them accustomed to each other. It took over a month before we let them be in the same area unsupervised though. They still don't get along (2.5 months later) but they share the apartment and mostly leave each other alone.

Anyway my point is that even cats who absolutely hate each other will eventually learn to coexist, even if they aren't friends. I don't think you should let the cat thing discourage you from getting an amazing room. It's at least worth a try.

I really haven't, that's probably why we failed at trying to get a new cat years ago. She's older and more chilled now though so there's nothing to lose in trying.

Took a long time though huh? We gave up after a couple weeks. Ha. Thanks.

Yeah, I agree with Jasna.

Even now Violet and Mortimer don't completely get along and it's been a year since I got Mo. But y'know.. they adapt. They can be a little bit grumpy for awhile (you ARE the owner after all!) and it's good you can see the bright side in alternative solutions.

It sounds and looks VERY Nadey. haha I can just picture you in that scene and I am happy and excited for you to be where you would be comfortable and Individual. lol =)

when i picked out my last (and only 'real') apartment my roomie and i were nervous about taking the first one we visited. Thing is, we loved it straight off the bat and knew it was the one for us. if you know it is right just do it. As long as you know they are nice, non-sketchy non-dangerous ppl... just do it. i'm all about running on intuition these days.

miss you and your nade-ness
