Mockingjay

Lesson I should have learned from HP: reading an entire book in one evening: not the best idea. My eyes are sore and my head is spinning and I am guranteed to have weird, Panem-based dreams tonight.

This is not well organized, but well.

Let's pretend I didn't sprint through the bookstore 'whooooooooooooo!'-ing once I had procured my copy. Because that would be childish. )

This book broke my heart. I just finished reading and I keep randomly crying whenever I think of that bleak, beautifully written, heartbreaking ending. It was perfect, and it was AWFUL.

(And the last real or not real broke me.)

I had to kind of get up and walk away from the book at the end to physically separate myself because sweet lord, those last chapters and then that ending. Gah! Heart officially broken.

I know you probably won't agree, but to me, Gale's hatred of the Capitol = Lee's continued hatred of the Cylons, esp if you have "A Measure of Salvation" in mind ( ... )

The whole untold story of him and Johanna and Annie in the cells!

OMG YES!

I was especially disconcerted when Castor and Pollux had to take off their camera suits to get into the sewar! I was like "why did you not ditch those forever ago?!"

Ahaha, I know! I was like, "Wait, really?!"

The Real/Not Real thing was pretty cute. I wasn't rooting for either of them, but I felt like it was pretty clear as things went on that unless Peeta died - which had a decent likelihood of happening - that's the way she was going to go.
