Even though an empty MallWart indicates the shelves are probably empty, too, it's a lot easier to shop and get out of there quickly. That way you don't have to feel so guilty about supporting a corporate Bad Citizen.

Now all you have to do is pray she doesn't get motion-sick from reading in the car and you'll be set!

(The fact that I read early, often, and in the car is a large part of why I survived to adulthood, I think.)

...can she actually READ?!? 0.o;;

I ask because I remember you telling me you learned to read at an incredibly early age, which I had previously thought to be impossible. o.o;;

She's reading letters and starting to recognize simple words that she's seen before. I wouldn't say that she can really READ per se yet, but I think she's on track to be reading the very simple books in the next couple of years.

She likes to flip through books and look at the pictures and words. It's one of her favorite things to do. :3

That's AMAZING!!!!!! (~*o*)~

I'm sure I told you before, but learning letters and reading was absolute torture for me! XP I'd always figured it was because my mom started me too soon and I really wasn't ready for it. But just now I asked her about it, and she said she'd had a horrible time reading when she was a kid too (she was still really struggling to read at age 7), so that's why she started me so early... so who knows, maybe some trouble with it runs in my family? =\

I was 2 when my mom started forcing me to learn letters, and I read my first word ("cat") at age 5... even to this day, that was one of the most mentally difficult things I've ever done! x_x;;

Anyway, my point is that you and Alice are brilliant and gifted and it's so COOL to see such a young kid catching on so quickly!!! ^o^/
