1. This is the Elphaba cold from HELL is what it is. Again, no fever or cough or sore throat - thank goodness for that - but apparently the meds have not helped any. Not so far anyway: I got up at 8 in the morning and again now (about 2pm) and I'm still all gunked-up with green stuff. Yuck. If you haven't figured it out yet, I skipped out on work ( Read more... )

Aw, SHAWNE. D: Feel better soon! I'm sorry your Elphaba cold is evil. I'm trying to write a faily essay and will be awake forever, if it makes you feel better. *gives you schadenfreude*

You could come on Gchat and hear me rant at Leslie and Lana about epically faily concert tonight! Or not, if you're not feeling well and would rather lie in bed and sniffle. Sometimes illness requires focus on sniffling.

THANK YOU. I do feel better now, but was really NOT up to actually... sitting up, earlier? So I went and watched a lot of tv and now feel better as a result.

The word 'schadenfreude' ALWAYS cheers me up, LOL.

Please rant at me about epically faily concert! I'm gathering that Julia was ill and didn't turn up for ANY of the events she was supposed to be going for? Which did you wind up trying for in the end?

Well hooray for feeling better. Maybe sitting up will happen at some point. TV = cure for the common cold? Interesting.

Schaaaaadenfreude. *sings*

REALLY? She didn't go to ANY of them? Holy crap. Because Scott Alan was totally promising her imminent arrival until the very very end of the CD signing, and then he told people to come to Sho's if they wanted Julia to sign - so it kind of seems like she didn't actually TELL him she wasn't coming.

I only tried for that performance, which turned out to be unwise (or so I thought - I would've been MORE grouchy if I'd gone to Birdland and she hadn't shown up). It...made me seriously reconsider my attendance at the concert in January. I don't want to be all rude in a public post, but feel free to pester me if you want to hear about some fail.

Still getting better! Which is great! But I have to go to bed now, like HAVE TO, or I'm going to flake out at work again. So no chatting for me! *cries*

I don't know, actually, I just ASSUMED she hadn't gone to all the shows. I have no idea if she did go for the Birdland show. EEK. I can't believe Scott was promising that though - maybe Julia got stuck in traffic or something? And OH NO. Don't reconsider attending in January? Unless you're just there for Julia, of course - I'm there for whoever awesome Scott is bringing, and Julia would be the bonus.

I WANT TO HEAR ABOUT FAIL. I vote you go talk about it in latest post, which IS f-locked. I MUST SLEEP NOW. WILL CHAT WITH YOU SOON.

When you are really sick, no one gets over anything in a day. Just saying.

(get well soon)

Awww, thank you. That makes me feel better about taking the day off. I KNOW there's justification for it, but honestly I have gone to work considerably sicker. So I'm also being a slacker.

OMG, now I'm a not-so-sick slacker who's HUNGRY. DUCK.

Stop being so Chinese! You're sick, you're not slacking off. And it's not like you haven't given blood to that job in better health.

It's not that I haven't seen your icon before, but LOL AT IT BEING RIDICULOUSLY APPROPRIATE IN THIS CONTEXT.

I appreciate the reality check. It's what I tell myself for the last month of not-having-done-much-real-work.
