Jason Danieley does have a very pretty voice. Though actually, can he NOT play Valjean? Because that would mean another Les Miz revival, and PLZ NO.

Speaking of pretty voices and epic French musicals, I saw TOTC last night, and Les Miz REALLY cannot be revived soon because TOTC needs to stay open. Guh, so epic and flashy and pretty. ALSO, James Barbour has literally the most impressive voice I have ever heard live. And yes, I'm counting Julia and Idina and whoever else in that statement. I mean, holy crap.

That debate flowchart is brilliant. I'm pretty sure she can't actually think outside those patterns.

Amanda read your post and was like, "who's Jason Danieley?" because she never knows anyone's names - but she knew who I meant when I said "the pretty voice in Curtains."

I think TOTC will make it. The house was nicely full last night, and everyone was all standing-ovation-y and stuff. And yeah, James' voice > Julia's. I'm not claiming that his acting or song interpretations are superior, but sheer vocal ability? Oomph. I turned to my friend (who worked with the producers) after James' big song and said, "Holy crap." His response: "Yeah, the producers kept him in the show after he went to jail because there is no one else who could do that." :-O

I WILL TOTALLY WATCH IT AGAIN. (Especially since this time was free.)
