Great fic! I especially loved the line about how anger is honest... because it's true.

That's one of my favourite lines too - I do think one thing about House and Cuddy's relationship is how genuine it is, and a lot of it is because she's mad at him half the time! ;)
Thanks for the comment!

You're very welcome! :D

I totally agree with you. It's not fluff and it's not a meaningless attraction. House stares at her "assets" and stuff all the time but I truly believe that there's something deeper going on between those two. And that's why I'm such a shipper!!! XD

Absolutely - the two of them have an incredible bond, and even though a lot of it isn't right there on the screen and it's subtext because HL and LE are JUST THAT GOOD, it goes a lot, lot deeper than just House checking out her ass all the time. And that's without a doubt why I'M a shipper too, heh!! ;)

Lovely. I felt like something had broken for Cuddy by the end of the episode, and House trying to make up for that...in House's way, of course...is a great image.

I absolutely agree, of course - I definitely think Cuddy was more broken than she let on in that final scene (as always, LE played it perfectly, with more emotion than is suggested in the script, I suspect), and I couldn't just let that be.
Thanks for reading!

Yeah, I agree with operaticingenue above - this line, "It's everything - emotion, reaction, hurt and pain, and sure, everyone lies, but anger... anger is honest."

Gorgeous. Lovely fic.

Glad that line worked for you as well - I do think that the reason House enjoys sparring with Cuddy so much is because anger, which is so honest when it's true, he can do something with. Anything else? Emotional minefield he's not quite ready to enter.

Thanks for the comment!

Wonderfully done. It's thrilling to see a writer with such a great handle on Cuddy as a person and as House's boss (and friend). Thanks for a reassuring ending to a sad, sad episode. Definitely worth the "trip" from HHOW. :D

Thanks for the read! (And luv your icon, BTW)

Cuddy's had more screentime lately, but even then her character isn't explored half as much as it should be on the show - so I'm very glad to know the Cuddy voice in this worked for you.

Thanks for making the trip over from HHOW! :)

That was great! I really love how you conveyed the disappointment that Cuddy felt and the tension that House had in dealing with it!
