i will be trying my darnest indeed.. but ill be in states to work at camp for the summer so ill prob be at camp by then... itll all depend on where i end up working as im not sure yet.... of course if i dont get hired ill be gettin my butt over there any way i can to see saved! how long is it on for again?? hmmmmm hopefully the ummm "twisters of fate" will be on my side and it will all fall into place...

Gah, GOOD LUCK with being able to see Saved. Everyone should try their darnedest to watch Julia - even if it means flying across continents, lol. I think previews start May 9, the show starts June 3 proper, and ends June 22? So I'm seeing it a couple days before it's last night. I'm quite tempted to go on the last night too... but am refraining because, hello, I have no idea if the musical will be any good AT ALL. :p

The news about that sequel is making me lose almost all the faith--granted, it was a small amount--I had left in Broadway. Theatre in New York used to be this awesome epicenter of creativity, and now it's turned into nothing but a money-hungry, let's-get-as-many-asses-in-the-seats conglomerate. Sure, theatre will always be a business, but Broadway seems to be losing too much of its artistic integrity in the name of cash. Enough with the revivals and the Disney productions and movie adaptations (and now sequels) with Hollywood actors. I find it really disheartening, but...maybe it's just me. *shrug*

No, I'm with you there - it's a shame I'm getting into the Broadway scene at this point, when half the musicals are movie adaptations or jukebox musicals or revivals, and the number of GOOD original shows? Just not there anymore. Sigh. And yes. It's selling out in a ridiculous way. I'll be one of those people with their asses in the seats, but I must say the news of this new Phantom sequel nearly drove me batty when I saw it. I kept re-reading the article to see if I'd read wrongly and that some hack was doing his own internet version of it. Nope, Sir Andrew, right there, attached, money pouring out of his pockets. Sigh.

WOOT for tickets! I will keep you posted! Just in case, tell me... any shows you're thinking you might tack on but not necessarily get tickets to right away? Like a more fly-by-the-seat-of-your-pants thing? Even if it's another Wicked, let me know, so it's a possibility in the back of my mind. ;D

YAY for tickets, if I do say so myself (again and again and again). Um, other shows... well, the ones we're buying tickets for are Wicked and Saved, already bought, and we'll be getting tickets for Little Mermaid and Curtains for DEFINITE. So if you want to see those, you should let us know?

Other shows - I'm going to watch as many as I humanly can, and those might be more impromptu, unless I decide to plot my show-watching schedule better, lol. Those would include - Gypsy, Sunday In The Park With George, Cry Baby, maybe Wicked again, though we're trying to get cheap partial-view seats for that. And probably Rent again, just so I can say I saw it in NYC before it closed, you know?
