I never did much reading in the GG fic-verse. Mainly because when I was REALLY into the show, all I saw were CAPSLOCKED FICS ABOUT TRORY FILLED WITH HORIBEL SPEELING MYSTEAKS, clearly written by ten-year-olds who shouldn't be allowed near the interweb. Another reason I avoided the GG fandom, I guess.
BUT IF I'M MAKING YOU THINK OF WRITING ONE, THEN I WIN. CAN I START STALKING YOU FOR THIS TOO? You're totally asking for it, you know, and I know you'd make me love the show all over again. ;)

GG fic!!! Aww, ILU for posting this. Such a great post-ep for that episode and you've just got Luke down cold. I now have an insane craving for season 1 GG. And I really must watch season 7 at some point too....

AND YES ANOTHER OTP OF WIN! they proved that opposites really do attract. and that sometimes u might seem diff but you're not. :D:D AND GG ALWAYS MADE ME WANNA DRINK COFFEE SO BAD! what with Lorelai and her 5 morning cups!
and yes i jsut realised it NOW too! haha omg! i mean luke was my ultimate man love. i didnt care for dean or whoever else (but the dean of medicine of PPTH, I WANT!). omg! what a realization.
GG was epic for me, definitely - until the last couple of seasons, that is. They massacred the Luke/Lorelai thing with April, I feel, and I kind of stopped watching after that. So I haven't watched the finale; in fact, haven't watched the whole last season of the show. FAIL! I will do so at some point, I guess, maybe during summer hiatus later this year (as I have so many other shows to watch).
Luke/Lorelai was always it for me. I was okaaay with Rory's love interests - I liked Rory/Dean at the beginning, but hated Dean when he went mad after she jilted him, and I liked Rory/Jess better when Jess wasn't a regular and just visited occasionally. Lorelai was it for me, really. I LOVED HER, LOL.
CUTE! Man I miss old school GG. When all the Luke and Lorelai stuff was all new, and cute and you just wanted more. Then S7 came along and it went to shit. LOL This was great. thanks
Thank you! And yes, wasn't old-school GG the best thing ever? I really did have SUCH crazy amounts of love for this - and then S6, I would say, came along and broke the gorgeous Luke/Lorelai relationship that had been built up before that. I haven't even finished Season 6 or watched Season 7. FAIL.
Oh, Luke. It makes me so sad that he's left behind, yet again. Lorelai just doesn't realize, does she? -huggles him-
I'm glad you posted this! I haven't read any in ages, and most of the few that I did read weren't that great. This is beautiful. And your icon! Easily one of the best Luke/Lorelai moments, ever.
*huggles Luke too* I was really so miserable for him, watching him watch Lorelai fall for Max. :(

I haven't really read any GG fic, because when I was on the peripheries of the fandom, all I saw were capslocked, poorly-written Trory fics (the ten-year-olds who couldn't identify with the awesomeness of Lorelai, I guess!), and I couldn't stomach ANY of that.
I know! I did like Lorelai/Max and Lorelai/Chris too, the early days. Both those relationships got so cringingly screwed up in the end though. But the series finale was just adorable. Even though they didn't expand on it, you know they got back together. :)
Ew! I've never read a Trory fic. In fact, when it comes to my fandoms, I rarely read anything that has to do with the younger people, even though I like them. Gilmore Girls? Luke/Lorelai FTW! The HP trio? Nope. It's all about Minerva. LotR? Celeborn/Galadriel. And House? House/Cuddy!!
Crap, now you make me want to watch Season 7 and see how it all pans out!! Curses. I've got too many things to be watching right now. ;)

LOL, you and your decidely mature taste! I agree with you though. I never actively shipped Rory/anyone, and the thought of House/Cam genuinely doesn't appeal at all. McGonagall is one I've never shipped though - who do you ship her with?!

Luke/Lorelai was always it for me.
