Heh, Zac Efron. I kinda love the HSM movies (have seen the first two), they are cute, mindless film that don't hurt anyone. And I totally get his appeal, if I was 13 I'd be head over heals in love with him.

And Revolutionary Road, oh dear. So amazing. But so depressing, I'm with you on that.
And I feel the same way as you about Leo. Every time I see him in a movie I'm surprised again about how fantastic he is. I really think he's one of the best actors out there at the moment. Plus, he does good things (environmental charities etc.), so yay for Leo.

I have come rather to a grudging admiration of Zac's ability to improve and actually become MORE charming as time goes by. I really thought he was dreadful in HSM - I think I was just in the wrong frame of mind and didn't enjoy that entire film at all, even though I tend to LOVE that kind of brainless fluff. But I also watched HSM3 and was pleasantly surprised by how much I liked im int that, and how charming he was. Oh and I loved him in Hairspray as Link. So I guess I can't be all snobbish anymore. ;)

See, the Titanic effect probably is more widespread than anyone realises! It's SO unfair to poor Leo, but every time I see one of his recent movies, I'm surprised by how GOOD he is, though I really shouldn't be - he's always BEEN good. Revolutionary Road, OMG. HURTS SO GOOD. Kate is unbelievable.

1. I know, seriously?!

When I got on the computer, it was 2:00 a.m. It is now 7:07 a.m.! It feels like it went by in a blur!

3. I'm glad you had some nice down time with your friends and family. ♥

4. Hey, Tom Hanks is made of AWESOME!!! :D
I love Tom Hanks! :)

And I second your cry of EWAAAAAAN!!! ♥

5. a.-I know! Matthew used to be so adorable on Friends? :(

No, no! Don't have lessened disdain for Efron! I can't stand him or his litle HSM alum pals. :P
Though I admit a bias since my little sister spent a year barraging me with the HSM gang.

c. Kate is like my one true actress love! ♥ I adore her! She never NOT rocks a part she's playing! :)

Yes, see people, DiCaprio CAN ACT sometimes, LOL.
The fact that so many forget that he can is his own fault though. He's the one whose chosen to phone in 80% of his roles post-Titanic. :(

Speaking of which, I loved them both in Titanic, but I haven't seen Revolutionary Road yet.

7. OUCH!!! :(

That sucks!

1. LOL, it appears I'm not the only one who sees 7am from the wrong side of the morning.

5a. Well honestly I give credit where credit is due and he IS charming and has improved acting-wise. I'm not saying he'll ever be Tom Hanks - probably not - but he doesn't make me cringe when I see him anymore, which is good!

I don't think Leo has phoned in any of his roles after Titanic. Well, maybe immediately after, with things like The Beach etc. But in recent years he's been clearly picking stuff he wants to do, and he's been excellent in all of them - Aviator, Body Of Lies, Departed, Revolutionary Road etc.

1. My schedule varies, so sometimes I see it from the wrong side and then at other times I see it from the corret one, lol.

2. It's nice to hear that he's improved. :)

Though I'd make a bet that he never reaches Tom Hanks status. Not that he should feel bad about that. Few actors reach Tom Hanks status! :D

See, all I had to see was a portion of Blood Diamond to know he phoned that one in.
(The Brits should shoot him for the "accent" he sported in that movie, I'm afraid.)

I will say though that he's been picking very well for himself these days. :) He's definitely matured as an actor in that regard. And thankfully, hits in his youth like Titanic and Romeo + Juliet have given him the money to be able to choose what he likes at his own leisure.

Sidenote:I ♥ that icon of KH to pieces!

FYI: Emily Skinner will be performing in a show at the theatre I often work at in their tiny little 300-person (ish) capacity blackbox. Show's called Dirty Blonde. Just thought I'd let you know in case...you didn't, or if you were interested (not to see, probably, but maybe so you knew about it). =)

Oh I AM interested but probably wouldn't be able to make it up there for the show, more's the pity. I can't remember where I read about it - possibly on Emily's Facebook, but it should be incredible. She does a MEAN Mae West. Will you be working on the show, or do you not know yet? :D

I probably won't be working on that show. I'll be going on my UK vacation during most of that run, and the show's in a space where spotlights are hardly ever used. So I probably won't even get to see it, because I'll be away. I figured you already knew about it, but I thought I'd let you know anyway. ;) I read it in the summaries for next season and thought of you.

Oh, and I'll be in NYC on May 23rd (Saturday) for Exit the King.

OH YAY your trip! :D That's a fantastic reason not to be working on this show. I'm excited to read your recaps from that trip ALREADY.

Awww, thank you for thinking of me. ♥ Hard not to with all the flail going on, but yay. :D

OMG, I'll be there too! We should at least try to meet up and say hi even though I expect you'll be busy on your one day in town!

Yay, new films! I'm excited about seeing Angels and Demons too. I enjoyed the book and think they should be able to to make a pretty good adaptation of it on the big screen.

I also want to see 17 Again and Revolutionary Road (Leo ♥). Have you seen The Departed? It was out yonks ago but Leo was fantastic in it!!

I'm more excited for this film adaptation than I was for DVC, really - because I genuinely think that A&D is just SO much more cinematic than DVC. Plus I'm loving the art for it. :D

Leo is really very good. Like I said, I need to get over the Titanic syndrome, because he's GREAT. Have definitely seen The Departed, which was just generally a phenomenally well-acted show all around.
