oo, you have The Gargoyle. I got that from the library, complete with black pages and all. Haven't started it yet though, have you?

And I TOTALLY get what you mean about buying far too many books - there are too many temptations and not enough time to read them all :D

Oh goodness I never start books the day I get them these days - I've too many just waiting to be read! Yes, it's got oddly black pages. XD it's like the other book in the photo - Scarlett Thomas' Popco, which has BLUE-edged pages. Crazy.

My bookshelf is teeming with books I WANT to read. One day I'll get to them... or so I keep telling myself!

LOL, i'm just the same, shelves and shelves of books that haven't been touched, even though I keep telling myself I will.

Blue edged pages, gotta find out about that one now too :) I'd not heard of it until I saw your post

I just dumped my new books on my shelf of unread books. *cries* There was DUST on the books right on the top.

Blue-edged pages for the random win! And I got it because I read Scarlett Thomas' other book - The Mysterious Case Of Mr Y, I think it was called, and LOVED it. Brilliant. But totally mind-bendy, insane stuff all about metaphysics and philosophy.

maate 650 sing is well cheap. Srsly, STEAL. And 160 GB harddisk memory - i need that too!

Oh i hope you meant 350 GB for your harddisk? Cos' 350MB's really little.

And and, your bro's huge ass laptop is my current one lol. It's so bloody heavy :( :(

See, isn't that a INSANE price considering the specs on this baby?? Netbooks are so the latest fad over here, suddenly everyone's buying these tiny little notebooks that are - in my case, anyway - more powerful than my current desktop system! Definitely hard drive is 350GB!!!

My brother's laptop weighs a TON. I cannot lie, I totes bought this with an eye to travelling in the future. SO much easier to carry this around than my brother's 100-kg* monster...

* possibly a slight exaggeration

Your new baby is totes gorgeous. I want to get a notebook; they're just so stylish and EFFICIENT. I want something portable that will slip into my shoulder bag.

Yay I'm glad you agree! XD And omigod if you want one that would fit in a shoulder bag, this would definitely do the trick. We thought laptops were portable? This baby is MINI-sized and SO light. Plus, more awesome than my ACTUAL computer. *weeps*

I'm too poor to afford one atm esp. since I'm saving for NYC part 2. :) I have been eyeing something along these lines; I think Best Buy carries them, and I want it pink obviously because it's not me unless it matches everything I own. ♥

Omigod that is PRETTY. And it's PINK. EEK. There was a pink option for the one I got, but I'm super predictable and always end up with sleek, basic black. I'm such a bad influence on people. *weeps*

Saving for NYC is GOOD though. My rationale is that I'll get to USE this in NYC. ;)

There are baby-sized laptops here that you can get for $200 that I imagine are for similar purposes, but the specs aren't nearly as impressive as yours. I sort of want one because they're so adorable, but I have no need for it. XD

Um.. congratulations and many happy returns? ;)

I was astounded when my friend told me about the specs because SERIOUSLY they are better than my current desktop, which makes me furrow my brow in consternation. AH WELL. It means I now have internet connectivity while in NYC travelling. :D

Everyone's invited to the wedding! XD

Thanks for Monday!cat, btw. :)
