Yes. The Massachusetts legislature has also been involved with gay marriage here, in that they failed to ratify the obnoxious constitutional amendment to ban gay marriage, but Vermont is the first state where the people's elected representatives have seen the fucking light without having been told off by the judiciary first.
Personally, I love the fact that some of the legislators changed their "no" votes just to overturn the veto.
