"Like a dog, she needs to be let out once in a while.
That's all right. He's about the same."

"But he can't help thinking that she has an uncanny way with words, for a savage."

She really is a surprisingly sophisticated speaker.

As beautiful and contemplative as this is, and it really is, I'm kind of giggling at the image of the two of them tripping out on peyote together. And even that is really, really appropriate for the two of them, so more well done to you!

The idea of Four on peyote sends me giggling. Especially since my main research into mescal's effects is The Teachings of Don Juan; I can't get rid of the image of Four grabbing somebody's dog and pissing on it.

And thank you!

Wow - you have such a way with description. You really conjure a vivid image.

There is something a bit...naughty about Leela and the Doctor doing drugs together. I find myself completely scandalized. ;)

You just know she would, though. Enthusiastically. ;) But, yes, as they were my first TARDIS team from childhood, I feel you on the scandal.

I like the element of scandal, especially since it's so nonchalant about it. And I have to say, I can both totally picture it happening and also grins because there's something so very...Seventies about it.
