See, now I'm curious. I don't even watch this thing.

On an unrelated note, I did what you told me not to and listened to Mission to Magnus. How do you take Ice Warriors and make them that boring? It had the same effect of just listening to a single droning voice for two hours. It's just wrong. I thought it was just that I tend to listen to audios when half-asleep, but really, there was that lovely bit at the beginning where Peri and Six were being worshiped and he was laughing at her discomfort (<3), and then the audio lost all sense of humor or character.

Honestly? At this point, I'm afraid you're not missing much.

Oh, airie_fairy. Why'd you do it? D: Yeah, Mission suffered from much of the same… mushiness that a lot of the Six/Peri audios do. By which I mean writing mushiness, rather than maudlin mushiness. I don't even remember the thing very clearly at this point-a bad sign in itself-but it's really frustrating when plot point after plot point spins out blandly without any of the conflict that you'd have thought would be inherent.

I just want to know what went stupidly wrong this time! Is that so bad? D=

I enjoy a lot of the main Six/Peri audios -- though after starting with what turned out to be the stronger ones (Macros, Leviathan) I find the only "lost story" I've only really enjoyed since is Paradise 5 since (I still have Song of Megaptra to go, though, and you did rec that...) -- but holy god, I went through, what, three or four lost story audios of occasional sparks tucked among drudgery? Mission to Magnus was definitely the one that sounded the most like just listening to a blank tape, though.
