Well, fuck. I've never seen Brazil, so I'll abstain from voting. But while Catch-22 has its tiny cluster of adorable people, I am very impressed by this WWII novel that doesn't depict the Allied army with any idealism. It's populated by exactly the people you'd be meant to shoot if they were on the other side. I haven't read any other WWII story quite as bold as to let a mass group of people fighting the Great Evil that is the Nazi Menace be basically no improvement at all, and that's kind of why I love it.
