I can see the point of being able to listen to music on it and not having 2 devices. Not sure how much I would use all the fancy features on a smart phone and if so whether it would be worth getting a contract or PAYG.
PAYG handsets are always network locked (contract phones often aren't from Vodafone and O2), Vodafone will unlock PAYG handsets for free after 12 months, whereas three, t-mobile and o2 charge £15, and Orange charge £20 to do this.
Having a phone for an mp3 player is really neat when receiving calls - no need to remove earphones as they also work as a headset!
Oh that's interesting. Didnt know you could get modern phones without all the bells and whistles. When my old "brick" finally dies, that would probably be the way forward for me too.
