I'm back. I'm unpacked. I have new appliances and a new bed and a new desk. I have the wrong new couch, but the right one will come in a week. I have full rooms and empty rooms. I'm exhausted but thrilled. Life is good

Well, happy homecoming! I had a nice post half-completed, but it went away--lj must have thought I was getting too rambly. You sound like you're having fun, even with the spiders and unaccustomed distances. I'm sure the spiders will die back soon, as they find out that people with squishing tendencies are now living close by. I get tons of them, but I'm lax in my cleaning and they have lots of places to hide. Fortunately, they're mostly the little ones that I don't mind smushing when they get in my territory. I'm just glad not to have centipedes; they're the bane of old houses and they are too creepy for me

No spider sightings today, though Daniel ate what I think is called a sand fly - it looks like a daddy long legs with wings.
I have no idea about our pumpkin status. We're not too far away from you. I wonder if we'll have the same problem.
We had to mow right away because it had been a week since the last time and with such a rainy summer, the grass grows fast. We had to buy a mower and weed wacker. Mr. E.S. wanted cordless and electric and we could not find any on craogslist.
It's a pity they don't make lawn mowers that convert into snow blowers for the off-season.
No kidding. Could you invent this please? You could be a millionaire! We still need to acquire a shovel.
Thanks! It feels so good to be somewhere permanent and to stop living out of a suitcase. Poor Daniel has slept in three different places in four weeks. I bet he expects to move again next week!
How exciting for you and your boys! I remember all the good things about moving into more space and reveling in it all (including not being able to see everyone at once). Enjoy!
LOL. I've always lived in a city and I always notice spiderwebs and the incredible amount of flying insects every time I go somewhere in the country. I guess there's really not much you can do about it. ;)
And let's hope Mr E.S. doesn't get too naughty when he's out of your sight! hehe. ;)
