Dean Devlin apparently wants to do another Stargate film, following on from the Kurt Russell, James Spader film. Presumably, it would ignore SG-1, SGA and SGU and continue on from the film. I wouldn't mind that so much; after all, the Star Trek film from JJ Abrahms ignored 40 years of canon.

It's been interesting to see various comments around the traps. Unsurprisingly, a certain section of Stargate fans think they've been screwed over and it's made me scratch my head a bit because it's Devlin. He didn't want any television spin-off from the get go. He's not picking on Stargate TV series fans by wanting a movie spin off. It's all a bit precious.

The only question which might be of interest is, how will MGM/Spyglass handle this "Franchise" in the future? Will they support Devlin's Movie(s), and therefore put a definitely full-stop to the TV series (which is more or less the case itm), or will there be something in between? I have no idea. But I'm sure, as much as I'm not too eager to wait for Devlin's movie(s), I'm not waiting to see another incarnation of the TV product, I'd like to see the original end to SGU, but anything else? No, not really.
