#14-15. Life on Mars (S1-2)

And finally, w'ere at the end of the challenge. I've watched both seasons of Life on Mars at Christmas. 16 episodes in just a few days because it was quite addicting. And now, here I am talking about it, even though, after 3 months, I fear I've started to forget some of the details.

Life on Mars is an awesome series and Gene Hunt is just . . . I can't even find the words for how much I love him.

I have some serious love for Philip Glenister. I've spent most of today watching S3 of Ashes to Ashes and remembering why I love him so much.

I take it you saw the British Version and Not The American version? This is sacrilege but I preferred the US version-except for the end, which was terrible and trivialized Sam's whole journey.

There were some cute scenes, like when Sam makes speeches like "In the Future, everyone will carry around their own phone!". In one episode, Sam has a dream in which he wakes up in 2008 and our present seems really future-y.

I was reminded of Life On Mars when I watched the pilot of Awake.

Is Awake any good? I already have too many shows piled up!

Yup, the British version. Somehow, even when it came out, the American version didn't convice me that much and then it was cancelled so I put it aside. Maybe I'll give it a try if I have some time.

I'm not sold on it-I don't find the lead all that compelling and the detective stuff is boring IMO. The two shrinks are the best things in the show-Cheery Jones I know but BD Wong I hadn't seen before and he's very good.

Mmm...I don't think I'll watch it. I wasn't that inspired by the plot.
