Good thoughts! What you say has merit. The parallels are many. (I kinda hope Angel never, ever has another romance, ever, but that's just me. Or maybe not.)

Here from su_herald. I love your thoughts and agree most of with them. Support system is a wonderful thing for these characters. It seems that in the comics the lines have moved and those who once mentored now need the support.

I really only disagree with your thoughts in one point. I don't see that either vampire needs to become human. If slayers are immortal then a human lover/partner wouldn't be the best person. The slayers have the needed strength to do their job. It makes sense to me that a vampire's strength and immortality would be needed to be their partner in this life.

Yes, I ship Spuffy. I enjoyed Cangel, but since Cordy is gone then Faith with Angel makes so much sense to me. Even if they are never romantic together, they do fit together.

Thanks! I'm glad people seem to agree with me on this. :)

As for your disagreement: I meant the headcanons as kind of an either or thing. Either the slayers are mortal (which everyone assumes already) and Spike and Angel get turned human so they can live out a life together like normal people, or they're all immortal and continue their lives as heroes. (I'll edit it and make that clearer.)

I don't like the idea that one person would live longer than the other, so those are my two ways of getting around it. I also would prefer the immortal hero option for the reasons you mention, but I doubt that's the case in actual canon, whereas the other one is more of a possibility.

Great meta! I like your fluffy headcanon, too.
