oh the measles thing makes me so angry since it's local to me. I found out that my kid's school has -- get this - a vaccination rate of something like 60 percent. FORTY PERCENT aren't vaccinated. The percentage of hybrid cars is greater than that at the school. ugh

There was a piece of good news I heard today, that one of the other school districts where there was an infected student has forced all the unvaccinated kids who were exposed to that student to stay home - at least it's a consequence for their selfishness. But I'm afraid we're going to have to see some more deaths before some of these people wake up. except probably they won't because they'll be even more convinced it's some giant conspiracy by Evil Pharmaceutical companies... *head desk*

I'm sorry to hear that. One of the most irritating things is that anti-vaxxers are way too often affluent people who should really know better and they seem to be especially common in California ( ... )
