How about Jared's girlfriend can't handle having a kid but he convinces her to carry it to term so that he can take care of it once it's born. Only maybe his dad/steddad is abusive and wants nothing to do with the baby so Jared runs away. Jensen sees him trying to count nickels and dimes for something to feed the baby and takes pity on him, invites him to stay with him or whatever...I suck at this :S
