Writing again! Need a nasty nickname

I am back at the Undisclosed Location (housesitting for friends in Western Mass.) where I so happily wrote large chunks of The Privilege of the Sword.  I am blissfully happy - and doing as little Social Networking (or even email) as possible, while I work on New Novel.  I am a Creature of Extremes.

No applicable personal experience, but what came to mind is "Reach."

Ms. Creative, who lives in my head, won't explain why, though.

A tall, thin, red haired girl at school was known as "match" (after the red topped matches) but that was kinda a nice name and she liked it. I can only think of "Long Drip" (as in "long drip of water"), or Twiglet (crunchy snack in the UK so prolly no good for you).

Ooh yes. And if you wanted to vary it, you could go with "stick insect" :)

Stringbean? I've heard of kids being called that. Along with taunts like 'is it cold up there?'

Carrot, or something like that? Make up a nasty sounding name and say it's derived from a reddish flower on a long stem? Something related to bones or boney? Or a broomstick?

Just a bit of brainstorming with what what brains I have.
