We are in Maine

I am full of bliss. Delia is already hunkered down on the sunporch, working on WIZARD'S APPRENTICE. Tomorrow we may go to Blue Hill to look for books with colorful Maine sayings in them, which she needs for the book. And to see what the trees along the road look like. Again. Can't get too much of that. And if she considers picking blueberries ( Read more... )

Wish we could - but we're pretty much hunkered down to write until we return home. Marathons tend to work for us. But where do you live, again? You've moved, right? (Sorry, I'm crap at keeping up with FList & blogs in general...) Are you on the way? Email me if you dno't want to post that info.

Oddly enough, it was! Twisted Yarn lady very impressed that Delia knows you. Attractive sweaters now in the offing.

Tomorrow, the Blue Hill Fair! Who knows what fibres lurk there?

Blue Hill is a very charming old town; I was there for their antiques show once.

If you have some loose time and want an interesting, authentically don't-give-a-damn-for-appearances Maine experience, you could go browse around the Liberty Tool Company in nearby Liberty, Maine. They're a kind of large antique store that's the opposite in every way to an antiseptic, high-toned, high-priced, cultured antique boutique. They are not limited in any sense to old tools; there's a large amount of old books and magazines, for example. And cheap antique tools.

Sooooooooo envious! Maine is gorgeous this time of year. The mosquitoes and black flies are mostly gone, and I believe blueberries are in season. My Mom lives in the area, in a little town below Ellsworth.

Have a wonderful time!
