Saw the Alexander McQueen exhibit last night at the Met(ropolitan Museum).  Friends had harrowing tales to tell of the lines this week, but we somehow found the sweet spot and missed the worst of it.  There are 3 lines you must engage with:

(1) Getting into the museum building.

Excellent advice all around - I meant to put one of these up, but instead I shall simply point people towards yours! The last bit in particular seems pertinent: the poor things just looked so *harried.* Methinks this is not quite what they signed up for ....

I remember the lines outside of, and inside of, the Vatican Museums a lot more than anything inside them. Except for the Sistine Chapel instead. There the lines ended and people just wandered randomly about, looking up, and what we saw was much bigger and more elaborate than any photos of it I've seen.

Oh, probably . . . but it was crowded even then. Fortunately, the Met has some very good webpages of it.
