BORDERTOWN price correction

Jan 26, 2011 21:52

In my previous post I said that the new anthology, Welcome to Bordertown, was going to cost $22.99.  I also put that on the postcards we gave out at Arisia.

That is a mistake (unless you're a library: it's the cost of Library Binding).  The price to the public will be $19.99.  For a 544-page hardcover, it's a steal!  And what remains even more of ( Read more... )

I will buy it! But closer to the date, since I will want it to ship to where I am. And as of now, I have no idea where I will be at the end of May...

Heheheh - this looks so very lovely! Would you happen to know off-hand if it's going to be available as an e-book eventually? On the one hand, I want to get my hands on it as soon as possible: on the other hand, having bought the damned e-reader, it seems only ... responsible ... to actually try to utilize the damned thing!

Yes to e-book - it's already on Amazon, if you look; and also on the Random House site:

I think e-book for this is a fine idea, considering what a huge honking doorstop of a tome it is...and so nice to read short stories in your pocket!

I just the other day convinced the Children's Coordinator at my library to order this *and* the Essential Bordertown. She'd just been bemoaning the depressing state of YA fiction (what with all the dystopias and suicides and anorexia et al--I am a big fan of depressing YA fiction but I did see what she meant) and I said, well, *this* isn't depressing, go look! And she did and she clicked and now we're getting them.
