I usually travel to London annually in the winter when the fares are down, staying with my second family (the Clutes) in Camden Town and visiting with them, La Cadigan, Paul McAuley, Rob Holdstock Kim Newman, and hordes of other Londoners and those in other counties/countries passing through (like Lisa Tuttle from Scotland and/or Caroline Oakley ( Read more... )

Yep! It's near me for once, and it's the weekend of an Unspeakably Large Birthday, so I'm giving myself a consolation present. ;) Besides, I always go to Albacon, but they're hosting WFC instead this year.

I've never been to World Fantasy before, so I'm really looking forward to it.

Unfortunately, no more cat at the Clutes. Their beloved (well, I loved him anyway) black cat Pepys died a few months ago, and they won't be getting another. (sniff)

ooh! London! Rob and I will be spending 5 days in London after WFC. I haven't been for years. I want to go on the London Eye.

I had tix and was ready to go on the London Eye (with Pat Cadigan and Paul McAuley) a few years ago but it was too blustery and we were refunded our money. Hey...maybe I should try again next visit.

You'll have such fun. Where are you staying, do you know? Do you want me to put you in touch with anyone (or everyone)?

We're staying at the California Hotel near Kings Cross station. The only people I know in London are my sister and my cousin. We'd love to meet some of your 'everyones' if it wouldn't be an imposition.
