A few hauntings come to mind: Paul Walther's "The Toll," r j krignen kemp's "Dogs," Adam Golaski's "What Water Reveals," and M.J. Murphy's "The Line I Walk."

I'm pretty sure I read "The Toll" in either an issue of Talebones or New Genre--it was a while ago and I don't have access to my books. I don't remember where I read "The Line I Walk"--I just remember the impact it had on me! "Dogs" is in Delicate Toxins, an anthology from Side Real that came out last year and "What Water Reveals" was in Strange Tales II from Tartarus. Hope that helps!
