Wow, a vampire anthology that I'll actually read!

I guess I should say "another one," since I also read Blood is Not Enough and Whisper of Blood.

LOL. It's told from teen age points of view but is nicely varied (and probably not as sparkly as our editor would have liked ;-) )

That is one good looking TOC. I look forward to reading it.

I heard some of "Late Bloomer" at ICFA. It was pretty funny!

Suzy tweaked it a little when she got back, but yeah, being a vampire isn't all fun and games--we're hoping to lure the readers in with good stories despite the somewhat lack of "oh what fun it is to be a vampire" material ;-)

I heartily second all the comments; what a line-up (and, I can't help it), what a pitch.

I spoke at a high school Vamp Fest the other day, and a few of the students were clearly fed up with sparkle-pires. They want vampires with fangs--let's hope they find the anthology.

That's very good to hear...and let's hope they're still interested in a year :-)

I was just talking with my client, who's writing a true vampire tale - fangs, gore, lore, the whole bit - about how half a year ago, we were anticipating just this probability - how by right about now, people would be getting really tired of the sparklepires and ready for some real vampires again. I think I saw the first online evidence of this two weeks ago. It's definitely starting!

That is a brilliant TOC! Delights me to see our Kaaron Warren in there (and our Garth, but I haven't personally published him so it's not quite the same excitement!). I can't wait to read this - would be very cool if it was available at Swancon/Natcon next year :)

It should be going into copy edit shortly--I'll ask my editor on Monday if she has any idea of a pub date. It would indeed be terrific if it could be out for Swancon.
