I resigned yesterday. I feel like a great cloud has been hanging over me and it instantly vaporised. Had a couple of drinks last night and went out with friends. I'm sure they thought I was pissed as i was silly, and loud, and flirted shamelessly with everything that moved. But I'm just happy

Well, my headmaster has agreed to release me from my job. However i have to resign by tomorrow and the effective date i've been given is two days after I start my new job. Not alot of time to resolve this.

Well, I had an interview today for a maths teaching post much closer to home. They loved me and the post is mine, in a school with students who actually spend their days in school and in the classroom. Due to a momentary glitch, an entry I was posting yesterday in a private journal went public. I immediately deleted it and thought no more about it until I found it still out there today. Not particularly bothered as I trust those of you I know not to judge me based on it, and strangers are welcome to think what they will.

Some years ago I taught a teenager with severe learning difficulties. His support assistant and myself worked closely together to overcome the involuntary swearing and uncontrolled behaviour.
