Quite a few fics I've read lately have had characters saying, "Sod directly off," and I was wondering where this phrase has come from. Is it an Americanism? I'm British and I must admit that I've never heard anyone say that in conversation, unless it's a regional thing? "Sod off," is common, though.
Any thoughts?

I was just wondering if the harrydraco community had been backed up with either a Greatest Journal or a Insane Journal account. As a precaution, just in case the trolls of LJ decide to set their evil Mordorian Eye on the community.
I'm sure there's a contingency plan in place, but I just wanted to make sure, because I enjoy the community so much.
Just in case though, eeyore9990 has detailed step by step instructions on how to create mirror journals in these sites without it being too onerous a task. How to....
Uhm, sorry I posted it here, didn't know where else to send it.
Thanks for all your hard work compiling the searches, they are a lifesaver! Hours and hours of mindless entertainment to alleviate the stress of daily life, all well cataloged by you!

I wasn't aware of LJArchive so I am about to install that to create a backup of the community. I have also created two, currently empty, communities at Insane Journal and Greatest Journal that may be used. For the moment, however, the community here on LJ is staying put. This is mainly so I can wait and see how the dust settles before making a definite move.
I must say, 'Mordorian Eye'? Thanks for making me laugh! :) I'm really pleased to hear that you enjoy browsing through the fic searches... I must admit being able to do the same myself was a big incentive for me to knuckle down and catalogue them!
