Wow, that is... heaven for me! I'm planning to carefully read all the summaries and then get back to you when I manage to choose a couple of them. It's gonna be tough. *lol*
After reading, and reading, and reading I found another book: "24 Hours" by Greg Isles, who I've come to appreciate in "Dead Sleep".
Now, be sure to know I'm deadly serious about shipping. I'd much rather spend my money on some interesting reading. :) And I won't take no as an answer. Shipping to Italy isn't a joke.
*tackles Leigh, realizes that she's knocked her right over, picks her up, sets her right again, and dusts her off, before starting the whole routine all over again* :)
And now that I've assualted you, I'm crowning you the most generous soul on the face of the planet. I seriously need to take a page out of your book (hee-hee?) and pull some books off the overflowing shelf to give to new homes also, but I'm such a terrible packrat that it's hard to cut the strings.
Instead, if it's okay, I'm going to add to the overflowing shelves, oh woe-is-me. I would love to read the Kathy Reichs book, Deja Dead and Empire Falls by Richard Russo. Like Stella said, I'd want to pay you for the shipping though, okay?
PS: You and my sister, Lynn, would get along famously, I think; your list of authors is practically a carbon copy of those that she reads, and I know I've ordered several of these specific titles for her over the years. Keeping up with the authors is like a religion to her, though, so these books probably didn't even have enough time to collect a days worth of dust on the shelf and she'd have read them, as well. ;)
I had a whole lot of books I had to find new homes for too and I ran into the same problem as you did with the Used Bookstore. If you have any books leftover you could donate them to your local library. That's what I did with mine and they were really appreciative.
I know you already said not to say that I can't possibly take these books from you without paying or giving you something in return... it's just too nice of you. Thank you so much for sharing these great books! I've found two that I've heard a lot of good things about:
The Beach House The Reader
Again, thanks! You rock :) And, seriously, if you need me to pay for shipping or something I will.
