Author's Note: Does anyone else remember the hiatus between S2 and S3, when everyone in our small yet devoted ship was writing Elle/Claire hate!sex fics and getting excited about the inevitable subtext-fest to come in S3? Sadly, we all know how that one turned out (although we'll always have Eris Quod Sum), but I decided to nonetheless write a fic in the spirit of the days when everyone was speculating about what would happen in S3.
