It's quite weird but people tend to love those they hate, in this case Arthur an Francis were rivals so they looked at each other as equals so this desire they feel for each other is quite strong, but as they both like Alfred they can behave themselves and stop figthing XD

a bit yes, but it's also true that after *ejem* finishing is quite true that Arthur would return to his usual behaviour toward Francis (and he's been molesting and dominating him for too much time in this threesome)

Yes! And also, I think he's in denial about it, but he's afraid that France is going to steal Al. He doesn't quite think he could deal with that.
