This is a beautiful story! I hope you share more of their adventure with us. I like the sword, especially its ability to know the truth. That will be a great help. The friendship between Corey and Jon is lovely.
I didn't say this was from a novel, I said it was from a "saga". If I ever do get around to writing the full story out, it will require *MULTIPLE* volumes to tell the whole tale.
Not at all! I'm a fantasy series reader. I like my characters to stick around for a while! Sorry for the mistake. I will remember (and go searching for that saga tag) Hug~~~D
Actually, Corey can be pretty damned terrifying in his human guise, too. He can access an enormous amount of mystic power at virtually an instinctive level... which means that when Corey gets pissed off, *VERY* bad things happen to the people he's mad at... as well as anyone who is in his way or standing too close to the target of his anger. That's essentially what happened to the wizard and the soldiers that Corey took out during the Siege of Sireson's Keep -- They made the mistake of trying to kill Jon while Corey was watching.
Simply put: Don't make Corey angry. You wouldn't like Corey when he's angry...
I'm glad you enjoyed this. As for hearing more: I've already posted a number of other stories set in this world, many of which feature these characters. I've attached the tag "saga" to all the pieces I've written that are somehow related to that world, so if you have the time and the interest just go looking for all my entries with a "saga" tag.
