It wasn't the only part I liked :) I was a little bit on reading/commenting overload since I had to get through the entries and vote before leaving for a weekend trip - I was actually worried some of my comments were coming off terse.
And you're welcome for the positive feedback! It's one of the things I like about LJ Idol so much, is getting to read great things and have so much good stuff to say to the other writers.
Hmmm... one could almost say he tempted Fate, though, in the end, he didn’t trick her. I hope it doesn’t come to bite him that he didn’t notice she wasn’t as precise as him… one should always be careful with such powerful beings.
Actually, my Week 1 post explains what ultimately happens to Xerin; I did say this piece is a "distant prologue" to the other one. If you've got the time, go back and re-read my piece from last week... then come back to this one and re-read *EXACTLY* what Fate promised Xerin. Here's a link to my Week 1 piece:
“I swear that your name will live on long after your death as someone who fought against The Dark Enemy and its minions.” I like what you did here..:) Cool connection..Enjoyed reading this!
I enjoy writing about Fate in my stories; She's quite devious, and I enjoy envisioning Her "plans nested within plans" mindset. But it's nice to hear that my readers appreciate that aspect of Her as well.
