As I'm fond of saying: I try to surprise my readers -- After all, if they know exactly what's coming, why would they ever want to read my stories?
I'm not saying that Nancy deserved what she got... but considering what she was planning to do to an apparently innocent woman who had treated her with nothing but kindness, I did not shed a tear over her end, either.
I did not say so at once when I read your entry, but I keep thinking about it so I might as well comment now.
I love the twisting threads: how the title reflects both of them in their own ways, and how it is a toss and turn of who is the bigger shark and who is going to eat who in the end.
Hmm, what does folklore say about bathing in the blood of not-a-virgin while you think you do the opposite? I hope Elizabeth ends up looking her real age after this, and more perhaps, it would be fitting.
Wherever possible I've tried to select titles which relate to the story in more than one way. And as I've told other people, I try to "surprise" my readers as I don't see why a person would want to read a story if they know *EXACTLY* what is going to happen. So those are both standard parts of my story-writing technique... but I appreciate knowing that you enjoyed them so much
